FEATURE WALL NURSERY MAKEOVER WITH PHOTOWALL

FEATURE WALL NURSERY MAKEOVER WITH PHOTOWALL

Happy New Year everyone! Isn't it crazy to think we're in a new decade? To kick off the new year, I've got a very exciting interiors post (plus discount for you guys) I see so many dreamy nursery decor online but for my little boy, his room was definitely not Pinterest worthy. Even though it's relaxing and child friendly, it lacked style and character and wasn't very inspiring. So when Photowall - a Swedish wall-art company got in touch and asked if I wanted to collaborate, I jumped at the chance to make over the nursery with a feature wall! Firstly I was really inspired from what I saw from Photowall, their wall-art selection from murals, to wallpaper, to canvas prints opened my eyes to a whole new world of interiors and transforming your home. The more I read about the company, I was inspired by their story and passion for quality and creative design as well as giving back to the environment and only printing what they need.

PRETTY FLORAL DISPLAYS IN LONDON, CHELSEA IN BLOOM 2019

PRETTY FLORAL DISPLAYS IN LONDON, CHELSEA IN BLOOM 2019

It's that time of year again where South West London is floral overload with the annual #Chelseainbloom floral art show! I didn't get a chance to go last year as baby was only a few old but this year I made sure my sister and I were there the first day :) It's on until this Saturday 25th May and this year's theme is 'Under the Sea'. It's also a great cause as it's supporting the charity Plastics Oceans UK, which focuses on stopping plastic pollution.

CHRISTMAS WREATH MAKING CLASS, ST-GERMAIN WINTER BLOOM POP UP

Hope you're all doing really well and enjoying the start of the festive season! I recently put some pictures on my Instagram of a wreath making class I went to in London and wanted to share it on the blog as well. St-Germain - the French Elder flower liqueur brand were hosting a wreath making class with June in March florist at their Winter Bloom pop up and I couldn't wait to sign up! The girls and I brought our tickets online and had a lovely time making our own wreaths and getting into the Christmas mood. Here are some photos of the beautiful pop up!

HOW TO FIND JOY WITH INSTAGRAM AGAIN

HOW TO FIND JOY WITH INSTAGRAM AGAIN

It's been a tough few weeks recently, baby is going through a lot of changes and I'm one tired mama! I'm also back to work and editing at home with an active baby is not easy. By the way I've redesigned my wedding videography website, I would love it if you checked it out :) So all in all I don't have much time to myself....which I guess ties in to why I haven't been on Instagram for over a week, which lets face it feels like an eternity but it's been a nice break :)

TIPS ON A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP AS NEW PARENTS & MATTRESS DISCOUNT

leesa mattress review and trial, good night sleep, photos.
*Sponsored post*

I know sleep and new parents don't go in the same sentence but you can get a good night sleep, trust me! Our baby is now nearly 4 months old and well sleeping like a baby. Those first few months were hard with the broken sleep and constant night feeds but it does get easier. Sleep is precious for both parents and babies and anything that can help you get some rest is a must. I wanted to share some tips that have helped made bed time much easier as new parents especially in those early day, when it's all a blur!

AUGUST INTENTIONS & NEW TOTE BAG

Radley tote bag

Happy August guys, hope you're having a fab Summer of far. I've been trying to blog a bit more lately but I don't know how long that will last when I start work again next week! We all know this year is flying by and I figured why not try and have a more purposeful month. Each day has been a blur for me lately so I thought it would be nice to set some intentions for the next 4 weeks, I would love to know yours too!

SUMMER POP UP IN LONDON, BEAUTIFUL ALLOTMENT

Bourne & Hollingsworth, beautiful allotment hoxtonGive me a garden, outdoor food and drinks and I'm happy, it didn't take me long to check out the Summer pop up Beautiful Allotment at the Geffrye Museum. It's run by Bourne & Hollingsworth, the guys behind the gorgeous botanical restaurant in Clerkenwell. Beautiful Allotment is a pretty garden where you can enjoy alfresco food and drinks and I knew my sister Thuy would love it too, so we went along to check it out. It was also my first time out without baby. It was really weird and I felt sad leaving him but it was good for me to have a break and have some me time!

MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY, THE LAST 9 MONTHS

MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY, THE LAST 9 MONTHS

So with baby arriving any time now (eek!) I thought it would be a good time to sit down and share my thoughts on being pregnant. I never planned to blog about my pregnancy and have been very lazy with blogging in general. I think it would be nice to read and look back on how I felt over the last 9 months - the good and the bad, before baby brain sets in and I can't remember a thing! This is a very personal post for me to share but I know you guys are all lovely readers :)

SEARCYS BEACH HUT BAR POP UP, THE GHERKIN LONDON

SEARCYS BEACH HUT BAR POP UP, THE GHERKIN LONDON
Did you guys enjoy the long weekend? Today is mine and Hang's 2nd wedding anniversary, eeek how time flies right! Anyway we took advantage of the bank holiday and celebrated yesterday. (You can read about our wedding here.) So as I'm in the midst of busy wedding season and editing videos, it wasn't a good time to go away, you know I would be on a plane somewhere if I had the choice! After scrolling through Insta, I saw some pics of the Searcys Beach Hut Bar pop up in The Gerkin building in London and it looked amazing. I loved the idea of the seaside theme and also we've never been to The Gerkin - who doesn't love a good skyline.

LINKS LOVE & EASTER IN JAPAN

It's so nice to see people in a good mood when the weather warms up, us Londoners are a hard bunch to please! What's not to love about April, the cherry blossoms are still blooming and we have the long weekend over Easter. The last few weeks have been a mix of highs and lows for me. I've gotten into the groove of working from home and finished another wedding video. One of the best parts of doing what I do is seeing how happy my clients are with their films. When I received such nice feedback it makes me feel proud creating something so special for them. I go through phases of doubting my ability and not feeling professional enough but I have to believe in myself more! On a sad note, I said goodbye to my dear Godfather who passed away recently. He was such a great man and a big part of my childhood. I guess these things happen to remind us to really appreciate what we have and live life the best we can. Life is a gift, let's not waste it :)

BRIGHTEN UP YOUR TABLE SETTING FOR SPRING

Amara Sugarbush Tableware

Happy April guys! This warm weather is such a mood booster right? I feel so happy seeing all the trees and flowers blooming. In typical Spring fashion, I've been clearing things out at home and doing some decor updating. We're in the middle of getting some new furniture for our living room to freshen up the place. Hang and I pretty much spent all day in Homebase yesterday, fun times! DIY is definitely not my forte but I keep telling myself it'll be worth it! I'll share some photos when it's complete :)

So with home decor on my mind, I was super happy when Amara sent me some of their new Sugarbush tableware collection*. If you're looking for a way to brighten up your table setting this Spring or if you're planning on hosting some dinner parties over Easter, this range is stunning. The Sugarbush tableware is part of the Bazaar collection and I was so inspired looking at the lookbook online - think Moroccan vibes with exotic patterns and vibrant colours.

BISCUITEERS HAND-ICED BISCUITS FOR MOTHER'S DAY

BISCUITEER'S HANDMADE BISCUITS FOR MOTHER'S DAY

It's time to start thinking about the lovely lady in our lives, our mums as it's Mother's Day coming up. My mum is not one for big gifts but we love taking her out to a nice meal and giving her a bouquet of flowers. This year I can't wait to treat her to the Biscuiteers bouquet biscuit tin*. Biscuiteers make beautiful hand-iced biscuits in so many cute and colourful design and they taste really good, not too sweet and perfect with a cup of tea! I've had their London afternoon tea in their Battersea store and the whole place was so charming, literally something out of a children's book.

KEW GARDENS ORCHID FESTIVAL

KEW GARDENS ORCHID FESTIVAL
When my sister told me about the Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens I was definitely up for it. Pretty flowers and nature, yes please. Bless sis, she drove to pick me up with little sleep on a freezing Sunday morning. The lengths we go to, to eject a bit of colour in our lives :) Anyway if you haven't been to Kew Gardens, it's a Royal Botanical gardens in South West London and known for it's lush ground, shame we were visiting in the dead of Winter! We took a brisk walk to the Prince of Wales conservatory and grabbed a muffin along the way for a bit of sustenance. We knew it would be warm inside the conservatory because of the orchids, so we wouldn't freeze ourselves!

WAYS TO CREATE A COSY HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Hope you guys are having a good month so far. I know Christmas is coming but it hasn't quite hit me yet! I'm heading to the Munich Christmas markets soon, so I'm sure I'll have all the festive feels then :) Let me know what festive plans you got coming up or if you're not really a Christmassy person (don't worry I won't tell!) Anyway Winter feels like it well and truly here, so lets embrace the season, here are some ways to make our homes extra cosy for those nights in.

HANHABELLE TURNS 3 & FEELING LOST WITH BLOGGING

I started my blog 3 years ago today and I kinda feel like I don't really know where I'm going with blogging. I said to Hang yesterday I'm not sure if I like blogging any more. Does that make me a bad blogger? I don't want this to be a moppy post (because you know I'm all about the good vibes!) but I do feel like I've lost my way with my blog. Don't get me wrong I'm super proud with what I've achieved online and always try to produce quality content for you guys. I've made lovely friends along the way, which I would never want to give up - for realz you guys are amazing! But what I imagine for Hanhabelle is not always executed in the way that I want. Does that make sense?

OUR 1ST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Why is paper the traditional 1st Wedding anniversary gift? I was having a look online and it's something that dates way back to the Victorian times! There are a lot of reasons from paper being a blank page together, representing the modest beginning of marriage as well as symobolising writing your future together. The list goes on but for me paper represents growth in your marriage, starting off with something plain and simple and watching it grow into something solid and stronger over the years :)

MAYFIELD LAVENDER FIELD & WHITE EMBROIDERED PLAYSUIT

WHITE EMBROIDERED PLAYSUIT

I'm definitely a City girl but I do I enjoy hanging out with good old mother nature when I can. My sister Thuy was going to the Mayfield Lavender Field and ask if I wanted to go. It's one of those places we always wanted to visit but never got round to it, which is odd as it's only 10 minutes from our parents house. Plus it's a fab spot for bloggerz to get some pics ;) Thankfully my sis shares my love for taking a million and one photos! If you plan to have professional photos done here, you just need to let them know - engagement shoots etc :)

LET'S CHAT #2, GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER

It's been a while since our last let's chat post, which was so nice to read your comments and get to know you guys all a bit better! Blogging means a lot of time alone in front of your computer so interacting with you guys is really amazing. I always feel there will be someone that will understand what I'm going through or thinking when I blog about it. Interacting and connecting with you guys is defo a priority for me (however cliché it sounds, it's true!) So let's kick off with so more questions, I can't wait to read your answers.
