When my sister told me about the Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens I was definitely up for it. Pretty flowers and nature, yes please. Bless sis, she drove to pick me up with little sleep on a freezing Sunday morning. The lengths we go to, to eject a bit of colour in our lives :) Anyway if you haven't been to Kew Gardens, it's a Royal Botanical gardens in South West London and known for it's lush ground, shame we were visiting in the dead of Winter! We took a brisk walk to the Prince of Wales conservatory and grabbed a muffin along the way for a bit of sustenance. We knew it would be warm inside the conservatory because of the orchids, so we wouldn't freeze ourselves!

One of my favourite displays was the suspended orchid dome over the water, how amazing does it look! The conservatory was very busy as it's only on for a limited time until 4th March - so still time to visit! Adult tickers start from £14 and you also get access to the grounds as well. If plants and flowers are your thing, then pop along. It was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday, I left feeling happy and calm and who doesn't like being around nature? Let me know what you think of the orchids.
