HOLIDAY BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Dr Jart Water Fused BB cream, Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Mascara, Benefit Coralista

As London is still undecided on it's rain and sun ratio I decided to swap the city for a whopping 30 degrees beach holiday this Easter. Whilst I'm there, here are a few of my favourite beauty picks that take the faff out of going to a hot climate but still look hot (ok maybe not hot, just not a sweaty mess!)

To amp up the sun protection against harmful rays and premature ageing, this Anti Ageing Skin Protector SPF 30 Primer* from ARK is ideal. Compared to other sun protecting products that can sometimes feel heavy and greasy, this super lightweight primer is nice to apply, sinks in without a white veil or sticky residue. I pop this on top of my daily moisturiser and before my base and there's no extra feeling of oiliness. It contains Vitamin E and shea butter to protect your skin against free radicals and keep it nourished. The pump is easy and convenient to control how much product you want to use.

For base I will definitely be bringing the Dr Jart Water Fused BB cream for when I want good coverage, to even out my skin tone as well as protect my skin with SPF 25. This is the only BB cream that I like wearing as it keeps my skin hydrated as it's made up of 50 percent water, which gives you a lovely dewy finish. It's also oil free and great at concealing imperfections for a natural look.

Makeup wise, I've been loving Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Mascara, I didn't think I would find something better than Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Waterproof Mascara but the Maybelline really does give that extra oomph and volume. It holds my curl and doesn't have any clumpy fallout. It's nice and black, as well as being waterproof minimises any chances of teary black eyes.

I might be late to the Benefit Coralista party but boy am I glad I've discovered their ultra plush lipgloss. It's a bright orange shade in the tube but applies more of a light corally shade - great for that relaxed summery look. The tube makes it easy to apply, gloss feels silky on the lips and not sticky. I'll also be popping the Maybelline Baby s in SPF 20 in my beach bag, it's simple and will protect my lips when I'm out in the sun.
