If you're after a tasty spot of vegetarian and vegan food you have to pop on by to Mildreds. Running for over 20 years, they have established themselves in the heart of Soho, London, satisfying diners with their internationally inspired menu. When I used to work in Soho, I loved grabbing a bite at Mildreds. This weekend when I suggested to back again with my sisters to enjoy an early dinner, it still had the same great atmosphere and food that I remembered.

The back of the restaurant has a lovely open and airy feel with the skylight, mirrors, art on the walls and lively hustle and bustle from the wait staff and diners.
For mains we chose the sweet potato and cashew nut curry with yellow basmatic rice, it has so many flavours and the mild curry tasted delicious with the tangy coconut and tomato sambal. This veggie curry was so satisfying and I love the added crunch of the cashew nuts and freshness of the coriander. As as meat eater, I didn't miss meat at all in this dish!
My sisters went for the pea and sweetcorn burger with sweet potato fries and organic black bean burrito with tomato salsa, iceberg lettuce for crunch and good old guacamole. Both look amazing, my sister Thao is vegan and this burger look as good as any meaty version. I think even my fiance Hang who is a mad burger fan would of enjoy this!
For dessert we finished off with a super large helping of peanut butter and chocolate brownie (vegan) and the vanilla and choco bread and butter pudding, with a side of blackberry compote - how delicious do they look?
