DISCOVERING DURDLE'S DOOR IN DORSET

Durdle's Door in Dorset

This may be the year for stay cations as we have to save our pennies for the wedding! One part of England that took my breath away is the south west coast of England in Dorset. In the town of Lulworth along the Jurassic coast, some friends and I explored Durdle Door and boy was the scenery stunning. Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch with 2 beaches either side - bring your walking shoes, dogs, a picnic and take in the beautiful scenery!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to explore, the sun was shining and the water was glistening. The scenery is breathtaking and I honestly felt I was on holiday! Growing up in a small seaside town and now living in London I do miss being close to the sea. Look at this coast line, it was a bit windy - be warned not ideal for anyone scared of heights!

If you ever want a break from city life than Dorset is a lovely day trip or short break as Bournemouth and Poole are not too far away. You can also stay over at one of the local cottages or camper vans.
It was a wonderful world away from City life, I could of sat there all day...
