Is it just me that's sometimes too lazy to book in a haircut? It's been nearly 4 months since my last trim and my locks haven't been luscious as promised from pregnancy ;) Anyway I was ready to swap my long, lank and dry ends for a fresher cut. In the last weeks before baby coming, my sister told me make sure you go to the dentist, doctors, opticians and get a haircut! So it was perfect timing when I was offered a complimentary cut and blow dry at Rush hair salon :) I was looking forward for a pamper session. I usually go to a small local hairdressers, no thrills and not very modern or stylish!
Rush have lots of branches all over the UK. In London, they've recently opened two new salons in Dalston and Moorgate. I popped along to the nearest one to me in Lewisham and the store looked fab, as you would imagine - exposed brick, concrete beams and pendant lights. Aside from the cool decor, the front desk were prompt and friendly. I met with my stylist Katrina and she made me feel comfortable from the start. I settled in for a wash and she used the Rush in brand range - Pureology. The head massage was also a welcome bonus!
I've had short hair before so I wasn't worried about having 4 inches off and Katrina made sure I was happy with the length. I'm really happy with my haircut, it's nothing drastic but it feels so fresh, sleek and healthy! I plan to come back to colour my hair after my pregnancy.
They have some great offers on such as 50% colour treatments on certain days if you have a haircut or 50% off your first cut! Book online using the code RUSH50. Aside from hair cuts, Rush also do blow drys, hair dos, treatments, extensions and colours as well as some stores having beauty treatments. Prices vary from branch/area, a cut and blow dry in one of the Greater London salon starts from £44, which is pretty average and I would of been happy to pay for this cut. If a haircut makes you feel good, nice and pampered, then it's money well spent :)
Thanks for reading guys! Hope you have a lovely a week ahead, what do you have planned? The weather is looking good as well in the UK! April is already flying by, this is the first time in years where Hang and I haven't gone away, as we usually go away for our birthdays. Why do I have a feeling baby will probably come on one of our birthdays :)
*Haircut and blow dry was complimentary, all opinions are my own.
