WHY WE SHOULDN'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF

Oops I've been a bad blogger again. Last week was a bit of a struggle for me, really lacking motivation to be creative and even do my work but now it's Monday and I'm pushing myself no excuses! It's currently lunchtime and I'm hungry but I wanted to sit down and blog, chat with you guys heart to heart. I hope you guys had a lovely weekend, what did you get up to? I spent time with my sisters, we watched Murder on the Orient Express, love a good whodunit! Anyway murder mysteries aside, I wanted to share some thoughts on not sweating the small stuff. You know the little things that sometimes get us down. I've not been feeling myself lately and I'm hoping writing this post will help clear my head.

As I've gotten older I care less, less about the non important things, what everyone thinks of me and trying to impress people. Saying that I still get strung out sometimes and wish I was more carefree. There are days and times when I let the non important things get to me, a little remark or reaction get into my head and it's not a good head space to be in. Do you guys ever feel that way?

It's easier said than done to say not to let things get to us but we're all human right? We're all sensitive and have feelings. I guess it's about how we handle those feeling, putting things into perspective. Seeing the bigger picture and not letting small things get us down.

If you find yourself feeling stressed out or worrying about something out of your control, try and step out of that mentality. Do something you know will make you happy, listen to your favourite song, read funny Tweets, have a bath, or eat that whole bag of M&Ms (peanut ones my fave!) Take a moment to just step away and clear your head. Chances are you won't be worrying about it 10 or 15 minutes later. Time and distance can bring us clarity. I know it's cliché but life is too short to sweat the small stuff. It's not good for our minds, body or well-being. We can let little things consume us, dwell on it for ages but it's just worth the energy.

Focus on the good and positive in your life, be happy with what we have.

I know sometimes our issues are small in comparison to bigger real problems but it's always easy to see that initially right? We can't help the way we feel but I guess we should ask ourselves if it's really a big deal? Is it worth agonising over?

I find having a routine helps clear my mind when I feel myself getting bogged down, not checking my phone as often, doing a workout, having a proper breakfast and doing some meditation in the evening really helps keep me calm. When I'm in that mind set, I worry less about trivial things and focus on the moment.

Life is always going to throw us curve balls but I guess we just got to roll with it right?

I'm not sure if this post makes sense but I hope there are nuggets in here that you can relate to! I wish I didn't over think or worry about everything but I'm learning to appreciate the good things in my life, do things that genuinely bring me joy and spending time with people I love and care about me. This is what life is a about right? Finding the good and not holding onto the bad. I would love to know how you deal with the ups and down in life?

Thanks to Hang for taking the photos :)
