Summer has seem to make me very lazy lately, it takes twice as long to get anything done in this heat! When it hits anything over 25 degrees in London, my mind just seems to wonder to ice cream and lazying by a pool somewhere. Thankfully I'll be escaping London tomorrow and swapping it for some Croatian sun, yay! My sister and I will be travelling from Zagreb to the beautiful National Park of Plitvice, before heading down to Split and Hvar. I'm sure we'll be squeezing in some beach days, it's been a while since I've had sands between my toes. These are some of my must have items for a day at the beach, to keep me cool, calm and collected :) I would love to know your beach day must haves as well?
SKINCARE
We all know it's super important to protect our skin from harmful rays so a SPF with broad spectrum UV and UVA protection is a must. I like a spray bottle ones like this one from Garnier because I don't like milky formulas for my body. I'll be keeping my face protected with one of my favourite SPF, La Roche Posay Ultra Light Fluid SPF50+. I have oily combination skin and have used this in very hot and humid conditions and it holds up really well. The light weight fluid blends in easily without leaving you look like a grease ball and no white cast, big thumbs up from me!
I don't want my lips to suffer either so I'll keep them protected with this Nivea lip balm with vitamin E and SPF 15. As it'll be super hot I'll be keeping my skin refreshed with the REN Flash Defense Anti Pollution Mist* It's great to keep my skin protected from pollutants, free radicals and help with anti ageing. It also feels good to spritz your skin to keep it nice and cool!

HYGIENE
Beach days are fun but can leave you feeling very sticky and icky especially if you're eating and drinking and what not. I make sure I have some hand sanitizer and wipes. Simple and easy to clean up any messes. I use wipes from Carex that does the job, especially when you don't have quick access to clean water!
SOMETHING TO READ
I don't read nearly enough but I love reading by the pool or beach, catching up with my reading list and escaping from life. My current read is 'Afer You' by Jojo Moyes, this is the sequel to 'Me Before You', which I loved. I watched the film recently and found it very sweet and enjoyable, I thought I would be balling my eyes out but for me the book is much more emotional (as I suspected!) What's on you reading list at the moment?
ACCESSORIES
Of course a beach day would not be complete with out some sort of hat and sunglasses, I hate having the sun beaming on my head or face so always make sure I cover myself. I picked up this off white fedora recently and I love how it has a wider brim to keep the sun out! The black ribbon is also super chic. I have a few sunnies that I love including these round ones from American Eagle. I get so agitated if I'm not comfortable by the pool or beach so this array of products definitely keep me happy. Another handy thing to pack is a wooden fan! I even use it here in the UK haha.
