SHARING YOUR LIFE ONLINE

Sharing Your Life Online

We all know sharing is caring right? But when does sharing online become a little too much and just plain over sharing? Forget the days of anonymity, we just love to share all sorts these days - what we eat for breakfast, wear to the gym, pack in our hand luggage and even the bottom of our bags! (Actually maybe not, who really wants to see empty sweet wrappers and receipts?!)

There's a massive sharing culture these days, I can't even switch off on holiday without sharing a quick snap of the scenery or what I'm drinking, are you guilty too?! Have we become sharing obsessed? I say so...

WHY DO I SHARE

I think it's nice you guys get to know the girl behind hanhabelle, it makes it more personable right :) That's the positive to sharing online, since blogging I've come across so many cool people - yep you guys. I never thought I would open up online like this but it really has been pretty amazing! I choose to share small aspects of my life here on my blog - what I look like, where I go to eat and what makeup I use. Ok it's not exactly confidential stuff but do I think it's too much? It never crossed my mind that it was a negative thing. I share to inform, share tips and reviews and hopefully inspire!

WHAT I CHOOSE NOT TO SHARE

I don't mention my line of work, because it's not relevant to my blog or that interesting! I very rarely mention my fiancé Hang, who yes is a big part of my life but aside from announcing our engagement on here, I like to keep our relationship fairly private. What things do you keep private or do you like sharing all aspects of your life?

SOCIAL MEDIA

I deleted my Facebook over 6 months ago and I don't miss it. For me it just became info overload, I don't really need to know every move people were making. Every breakup or new relationship was documented, there were no off limits! I share on Twitter and Instagram, as I prefer how it's short and sweet. I would like to think I'm not an over sharer, just snippets here and there - no one likes people spamming their time lines right?

Before I started blogging all my social media accounts were private for my friends only but I figured with my blog I had to open up socially online! It's funny how my perception of sharing online has changed. How much do you share on social media or do you have separate accounts for your blog?

What do you like to share online?
I would love to know your thoughts on this post?
