Working and living in London can definitely take it's toll, come the weekend I'm so over commuting and want to take it down a notch to enjoy the simpler things in life. I think that's a good motto to live by when things get a little hectic :) London has lots of beautiful parks but one that has lovely views has to be Richmond Park, just under an hours drive away from central London. Driving up we spotted a deer and someone horse riding down the street, that's how close to nature we were!
In an effort to slow down a bit more and just enjoy the simple things around me (instead of rushing around!) here's a few simple pleasures that make me appreciate life a little bit more.
Writing - journal, diary or even a letter
Framing photos - especially holiday snaps
Enjoying the outdoors when it's sunny
Switching off my phone now and then
Speaking to an old friend
Fresh flowers
